Victorian Gardening
Imagine being transported back into a Victorian garden full of your grandmother’s hollyhocks, fragrant lilacs, blush roses, and flowering wisteria. Marie Hayes of Gardens unLimited will take you there in this session on Victorian Gardening. Her presentation depicts American gardening from 1836 through 1901, illustrated by historical estates such as the Harriet Beecher Stowe House in Hartford, the Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park, and the Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, NY. Let’s take this journey back in time together to visit these lovely gardens!
